Image Streaming

There are always something happening in our mind. Be it your inner voice or images, these subtle sensations and perceptions are means of communication between your subconscious mind and your conscious mind. They may contain solutions to your problems in life, or methods and strategies on how to achieve your goal. Inspiration, or the ''eureka!" moment are situations where one successfully receives the messages from the subconscious mind. This technique is introduced by Win Wenger, a pioneer in brain development and creativity techniques. Image streaming is one of his ultimate techniques for gain insight and thinking excellence. The technique can be describe as follow.
  1. Choose an environment where you can close your eyes and relax. Release all tension and prepare to enter a dreamy state.
  2. Be aware of the images in your mind now. Notice the impressions left by the images in your mind, even if is just a glimpse. Do not force or make the images. Just allow them to come naturally. Think that you are the receiver.
  3. Describe aloud the images you experience, including all the senses you felt. For example, if you hear a bell chime, say you hear a ''clear and arousing ringing tone'' and that you feel ''the minute vibrations in your ears''. Proceed to describe how the bell looks like if you can see it.
  4. Describe in detail as if you intend to convey exactly what you sense to another person. Describe such that the person listening to you is compelled to see, hear, feel, taste and smell whatever you are describing.
  5. It is best if you can talk into a recorder or to a real person in order to maximize its effectiveness. You can also choose to describe it to an imaginary friend but be sure that you make it real enough. The purpose is to stimulate a higher level of performance in you.
  6. Use words in present tense. Feel that you are experiencing all the sensory images in the moment. Describe as rapidly as possible and keep the momentum going on. This will allow more images to come and subsequently more to describe.
  7. Remember to speak clearly because you are narrating and not mumbling to yourself.
  8. Practice sessions can range from 10 minutes to 30 minutes.
In the first attempt you may not find the words or images to describe. Keep on practicing and you will improve. Remember to stay relaxed during the whole session and observe the stream of images while describing them. This technique increases your verbal skills, visualization power, spatial skills, creativity, comprehension and the ability to extract ideas intuitively. Your thoughts will be more complex and unique and your intellectual power will rise in proportion to the amount of your practice. You can even use the images you get to solve problems. You can try to obtain solutions from your images metaphorically and even use this method to generate more ideas. As a result you use more of your brain's potential, giving you extra intelligence.
